Curated finds
First created in 1951 and today produced by Vitra, the Akari Light Sculptures are handcrafted in Gifu, Japan, from washi paper and bamboo. Designed by artist and sculptor Isamu Noguchi, they embody his idea of light as both brightness and softness – luminous sculptures that bring a sense of weightlessness into any room. With over 100 variations, each piece reflects Noguchi’s vision of transforming electricity into the timeless glow of the sun.
The Newel Modular Candle Holder Set draws inspiration from the architectural language of Can Lis, where brickwork serves as both structure and a distinctive signature. Comprising six units, the set references the modularity and adaptability of bricks, inviting users to create varied compositions.
